Wonderfully Made: Growing in God’s Image
For 4th & 5th Graders – January 30–31, 2026
Wonderfully Made is a special program for 4th and 5th graders that helps children explore how they are wonderfully created by God. This biblically grounded, age-appropriate study affirms that human sexuality is a beautiful and sacred gift from God—one to be understood and expressed responsibly.
Through guided sessions, activities, and open discussions, participants will:
Learn about physical development and emotional growth
Discover that their identity and bodies are part of God’s good creation
Practice communication skills and self-respect
Understand intimacy as caring friendship and mutual respect
Explore how faith shapes healthy decision-making
The tone of Wonderfully Made is warm, positive, and honest—meeting children where they are with compassion and clarity. Each student receives a Wonderfully Made book to continue conversations at home. Parents are also included through an informative session designed to help them feel confident and supported as their child’s primary teacher and role model.
The class is intentionally coed, reminding all participants that God’s love and respect extend to everyone.
Wonderfully Made is a highly interactive approach to learning that is also a lot of fun for everyone involved. But as much fun as this experience promises to be, don’t expect your son or daughter to be wildly excited when you approach them about participating! Resistance to a sensitive topic like sexuality is to be expected, but don't give in to it. We believe that you will agree that the commitment of time will be well worth it in improved understanding and communication.
Schedule Overview:
Friday evening (6:00PM–9:00PM): Parent meeting and first student session
Saturday(8:30AM–4:30PM): Interactive learning and small group sessions (most of the day)
